Welcome to the 20 Day Prayer Challenge

The 20 Day Prayer Challenge is an opportunity for you to prepare your heart and mind, soul and body, for the celebration of Easter, the resurrection of our Lord. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes each day for 20 days if you want to get the most out of this experience.
Consider doing all of this outside, and if possible, while walking. Contemplative walking, or prayer walking, continues an ancient practice. It is for both those who are able to walk as well as for those who cannot. If you are unable to walk then sit outside and take in your surroundings as you read, listen, and talk to the Lord.

Here is the recommended process:
Here is the recommended process which should take a total of 20-30 minutes each day:
1) 5-10 minutes: Walking or sitting, read the scripture of have the scripture read to you through an app. Spend some time thinking about what you read.
2) 3-5 minutes: Read the question or thought prompt and talk with the Lord about your answer or simply think it through.
3) 5-10 minutes: Click on the song link and listen to the worship of God in music.
4) If more time is available: Click on the Spotify play list for extra listening and worship

Consider finding someone to keep you accountable and encouraged to participate daily to complete the 20 Day Challenge. If you are married with young children, help each other in the scheduling of this time. Consider making this an important part of preparing your heart, mind, and soul to celebrate Easter. Participate in the Good Friday prayer stations in our worship center. This will be available all day Friday, 3/29, from 9am - 7pm. Then, of course, join one of the Easter Celebrations of Worship on Sunday, 3/31 at 9am and 11am, joining with all the saints in proclaiming the truth, “Christ is alive! He is risen indeed!!”

Read these words from The Message, a contemporary paraphrase of Ephesians 5:1-2, and be encouraged: “Mostly, what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious, but extravagant. He didn’t love us in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that!”
